Seattle, Washington
Seattle is a perfect fall vacation spot in the US! Filled with outdoor farmers’ markets packed with good finds, some of those products are also featured in restaurants all over Seattle.

Go hiking in the Japanese Garden or Washington Park Arboretum. It has a massive Instagram potential, and no filters are needed!
Black Hills, South Dakota
The Black Hills is popular due to Mount Rushmore, but it has a lot of other things that can be done there. Custer State Park is one of the most impressive regions of the Black Hills. Through the Needles, the winding road offers amazing views and drop-offs, as well as some remarkable rock spires.

There are also a few beautiful lakes, including Sylvan Lake. If you can visit in late September, you can see the annual Custer State Park Buffalo Roundup. Besides the lakes don’t forget to try local specialties like fry bread, buffalo, and walleye fish.
Woodstock, Vermont
While all of New England is replete with colors at this time of the year, a few winding drives in Vermont demonstrate the quiet, scenic beauty of the state. One of the most picturesque pit stops in and around Woodstock is Sleepy Hollow Farm.

Woodstock is not only pretty in winter but you can also hike, visit dairy farms and get farm to tables, breweries, cheese shops, and making pit stops at covered bridges.
Hudson Valley, New York
The valley is ablaze with stunning fall color in mid-late October. Several top spots in Hudson Valley have the stunning fall color are Minnewaska State Park, Mohonk Mountain Preserve, and the rail trails.

With many things to do several apple orchards are also home to cider houses, and it’s possible to pick apples, then sample cider and enjoy wood-fired pizza in the apple orchard. Dozens of farm stands sell other seasonal fruit and veggies as well.
Albuquerque, New Mexico
Every October, Albuquerque hosts the world-famous Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, the largest hot air balloon festival in the world, people come from all over the globe to see thousands of hot air balloons lift off in flight.

Besides the hot air balloons, it has wonderful museums like the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center and the Albuquerque Museum, which is dedicated to the history of the town. These museums host exhibits on local artists, the history of New Mexico’s 19 pueblos, and the Spanish Duke of Albuquerque, for whom the city was named.
Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Jackson Hole is a great place to visit year-round, but fall is ideal if you want to avoid some of the crowds and see the colorful mountain ranges. The ski season typically starts at the end of November, so time your trip for early fall to enjoy the weather without the summer season visitors.

A short drive to both Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park, Jackson Hole is truly a gateway to autumnal outdoor adventure.
Burlington, Vermont
Burlington, Vermont is covered in red, orange, and yellow as the leaves change every autumn, making it one of the best fall destinations in the US. Spend a day picking your own apples at one of the many orchards, visit a pumpkin patch, or take a scenic drive to check out the beautiful foliage. After a day spent exploring, enjoy a local beer or two at one of the craft breweries in town.

Bermuda

Boston, Massachusetts
