Find your passion

This is the most important part when doing anything in life, find your passion and not a blogging genre that earns the most money or fastest success.

Everybody has a passion or things that they like, some examples can be shoes, DIY, fashion, finance, traveling (me), gaming, or tech, in today’s world you can easily open a blog and just start writing. To learn more about this read How to start a blog.

Advertising (Google Adsense)

The fastest money earning machine as a blogger is with Advertising. One of the biggest players in that industry is Google Adsense. AdSense are ads that are shown on your articles, homepage, or virtually any page that you like. The main benefit of Google Adsense is that it is super easy to set up and start generating income. All you need to do is sign up, put a link to your website (that is already created) and put ads in.

Let me note that at first, you will not earn money if there is no traffic on your website, so more traffic equals more income (logically), and also the money that is being earned is based on the ads that people click on and not ads that are shown.

Affiliate marketing

Several affiliate marketing sites offer great deals, but there are also individual sites that offer direct affiliate links, such as Nord VPN.

Some of the best affiliate marketing websites that I have used are CJ affiliates, Amazon Affiliate program, IZEA (offers affiliate marketing on all social media platforms and blogs).

Be sure to check out sites that are associated with things that you are writing about, therefore people will have an easier time buying or checking out that product.

Sponsors

Sponsor posts are extremely popular, similar to affiliate marketing but more direct sponsor posts are articles that write about products or services that either you like or you have tried.

This takes the most effort and you will probably get rejected a lot, but keep your head up, I have written about 450 emails before I got my first sponsored blog post. Also, I would highly recommend that the first couple of posts you do not charge and do them for free, and once you got a grip of writing sponsored posts then start charging depending on your niche and traffic on your website.

Passive income

Similar to affiliate marketing, but different Passive income brings you money over time, as an example Nord VPN, if you sign up now from somebodies link they earn 100% of that sign up, but then as long as you are signed up they will earn 30-50% of your subscription on to Nord VPN, which is amazing and extremely useful for anybody.

Some of the best sites that I use for Passive income are ShareASale, Creative Market, AvantLink.

Email lists

I know that you probably get hundreds of promotional emails per day, but if it is something interesting that you are passionate about and you want to read about, I bet you open it, that is why email is one of the best options for direct advertising.

You can put Affiliate links, Passive income links, Sponsor posts, anything that you like and want that will generate you income.

Create Ebooks

Ebooks are easy to create and very affordable to create. Why easy? You can easily put two or three articles that you wrote before into one Ebook and sell it, for example, Ultimate Athens Travel guide, Learn everything that you need about Athens!, or How to take care and clean your shoes! There are many things that you can write about and sell, so give it a try.

To start selling online Ebooks, Lightroom presets, or anything digital, check out DPD, and Gumroad, they are two amazing providers that are great and professional and I have never had any problems when working with them (even from Europe).

Sell your website

I know that this seems a little bit of an extreme example, but trust me people are doing that and earning crazy amounts of money. Flippa is the number one website if you are either looking to buy or sell your website.

I have seen people flip websites for 50,000 $ in a matter of 2 years. If you like writing and driving traffic to numerous blogs that you are managing and being the owner of those, see this as an option of potential income.

I hope that you learn something on how to make money as a blogger, there are a number of ways from ads to Selling your website for a pretty penny, but at the end of the day it all depends on the traffic to the website and how well you promote your website on numerous platforms not only one.

Be sure to diversify your income and not only do one thing but a couple of things, Ebooks, ads, and Email lists that bring up Passive income and Affiliate marketing are all great ways to earn to sustain a long time income from your blogging website and business.
