We are all getting very excited and can’t wait to travel again, but some of the countries near the US have already opened their borders and only have a few restrictions in order for you to visit them.

St. Maarten
– No quarantine, must have Negative test
St. Maarten is open to all US travelers, only with a negative test presented, you will not need to go in Quarantine upon arrival.
This amazing tropical country has everything you need to relax and have a great time if you are looking to travel outside the US, but still, be safe from the virus.
Dominican Republic
– No quarantine, must have Negative test
Dominican Republic is one of the most popular travel destinations for US travelers, being close to the US and having that tropical feel makes the Dominican republic a perfect travel destination.
If you wish to travel there, you will not have to go to quarantine on arrival, you will only need to present a negative test and you are free to go.
In Dominican Republic, there is approximately 67% of the hotels that are open, with 70% of the flights being operational.
Cuba
– Negative test, and possible quarantine for 5 days
Cuba has made a few changes at the begging of this year in regards to the things that you need to do if you wish to visit this country.
A negative test and a 5-day quarantine are very possible if you are visiting, but I think that is worth it if you think about the attractions and things that you can do there.
National Capital Building in Havana, Vinales Valley, Plaza de la Catedral, and much more await you there.
Aruba
– 24-hour quarantine after entry, must have Negative test
Aruba, a small island situated right above Venezuela, has a few rules if you wish to enter it. 24 Hours quarantine after entry to the country (which is very doable since you will probably be there more than a week or two), and you will have to present a negative test.
Aruba is worth visiting if you wish to explore Arikok National park, have a great time on the sand beaches of Eagle Beach and Arashi beach with few cocktails.
Mexico - Baja California, Cancun
– No quarantine and no test required for US citizens
Mexico – Baja California and Cancun, being one of the most popular travel destinations for tourists in the US, there is no need for quarantine or any tests if you are a US citizen.
You can easily book a ticket and hotel today and travel to Baja California or Cancun to relaxing for a few days.
Hawaii
– 10-day quarantine after entry, but open fully to vaccinated travelers
Do I need to say how Hawaii is amazing? One of the most popular and well-known tourist places in the world, Hawaii offers everything, relaxing, outdoor experiences, amazing attractions, great city life.
If you wish to travel to Hawaii, there is a 10-day quarantine after entry, but they are open fully to vaccinated travelers.
Costa Rica
– No quarantine and no test required for US citizens
Costa Rica is very similar to Mexico, there is no quarantine and there are no test requirements to be presented if you are a traveler from the US
Costa Rica is a Central American country known for its rainforest, great beaches, and volcanos.
Some of the attractions feature Arenal Volcano, Parque National Manuel Antonia, and others.
In Costa Rica, 42% of flights are operating there, and 74% of the hotels are open and available.
Florida
– No entry restrictions
Florida is the only US state that has no entry restrictions (Texas also opened recently), but if you are a traveler willing to relax in warm weather and looking to jump into the ocean for a swim, Florida is the way to go.
You will have an easy time entering and going out of the state.
Puerto Rico
– No quarantine, Negative test within 72 before arrival
Puerto Rico is open for tourism, with a few travel restrictions in place. You will have to present a negative test within 72 hours before arrival to the Island.
Puerto Rico is a beautiful island filled with things to do and see, Old San Juan is one of the most popular attractions, with El Yunque National Forest and Castillo San Felipe Del Morro.
Bahamas
– No quarantine, only negative test within 120 hours before arriving
Bahamas is virtually a paradise on earth type of destination. Bahamas have some of the most beautiful beaches, best hotels, and most amazing things to do.
Hotel Atlantis Bahamas is one of the most beautiful hotels in the world, Paradise Island tells you everything that you need to know from the name, and Pig Islands offers a one-time experience that you will never forget.
If you wish to travel to the Bahamas you will have no quarantine upon arrival, but you will have to present a negative test within 120 Hours (5 days) before arrival.
All of these places have fast-changing rules, so be sure to check the latest updates on the places or country that you wish to visit.
Also, if you are traveling be sure to have Travel Insurance since most of the places require you to have it if you wish to enter. I personally use World Nomad, it covers everything and it is amazing.
